Roger Federer announced his retirement from tennis via audio message

Roger Federer representing Switzerland, aged 41 and has played more than 1500 matches over 24 years.

He has played 151 career singles finals, won 103 matches, of which 20 are Grand slam tournaments.

His first grand slam title was at Wimbledon in 2003

Roger Federer broke may records, he was the oldest player holding No.1 position at the age of 36

Roger Federer held the No.1 position for a record period of  consecutive 237 weeks

He has undergone three knee operations in 2020 and his last match was at the 2021 Wimbledon.

In his  message, he thanked his wife, parents, sister, all coaches, fans and competitors.

The Laver Cup in London will be the last ATP he will be playing before retirement.

Roger federer in his note said Finally, to the game of tennis I love you and will never leave you.
